Auroville's Charler distils the essence of Auroville's aims, on​ of the most fundamental of which is to create an education for the future. Auroville wants to be a place for experiments research and study into a higher and true life.
It represent a resersal of perspective, where in change is brought about from with in out wards.
Acoroding to Sir Aurobindo, the very first principle of teaching is that nothing can be taught and that the teacher is not an instructor or task-master, he is a helper and a guide.
The second principle is that the mind should be consulted in it's own growth.
Fixed or uniform systems and syllabi cnnot be predominant in such an approach .
Life it self becomes the material of education and with such a change in perpective,
everything can be a means for growth of consciousness, progress and self development.
The Mother envisioned Auroville as a university in the deepest sense of the world, a place where active research into the genios of all nations would be undertaken.
Auroville's aim is to be the site of material and spiritual researches for a living embodiment of an actual human unity.
